There are plenty of reasons to develop a crippling crush on Emma Stone. At the age of 21, she has partied with the cast of SNL, taken a Jonah Hill head butt in Superbad, and been taught the secret of the perfect margarita by Bill Murray. She lives in New York, works out of the Sunset Tower Hotel in L.A., and also happens to be stunning as a blonde—her natural color—or a redhead.

One could go on. But then she starts talking, and it gets worse. As she explains how she used PowerPoint to persuade her parents to let her go to Hollywood when she was only 15 (“I’d have been like, ‘Shut up, you little monster!’”) and recounts her educational experience (“I say, ‘Homeschooled,’ cross myself, and watch people freak”), you remember why you fell for the Zombieland star in the first place.

If there’s any justice, the world will follow when the teen comedy Easy A hits theaters this fall. Playing a nerd who pretends to sleep with geeks for money (and gets in too deep) proved what casting agents have suspected for a long time: The girl can hold a movie. “The business latches onto someone and puts ‘em in everything until they burn out,” she says. “My plan is to just keep working till they tell me to stop…and then beg SNL to let me join the cast.”

Emma Stone and Woody Harrelson survived a zombie apocalypse together in 2009’s Zombieland. Now the two will attempt to overcome something which has, on occasion, been equally as frightening — an American-made romantic comedy. Both Stone and Harrelson have signed ontoFriends with Benefits, which will reunite the former with Easy A director Will Gluck.

The pair join Mila Kunis and Justin Timberlake (who are playing — get this — two friends who are debating taking their relationship to the next level), as well as Patricia Clarkson, Richard Jenkins, Jenna Elfman, and Andy Samberg. To see who else may be joining the cast, hit the jump.

In addition to the solid cast mentioned before the jump, The Wrap reports that New York Yankee third baseman Alex Rodriguez is in negotiations to make his silver-screen debut in the film as a guy who is too wealthy and talented for his own good (note: that won’t be his character… probably). To add to his acting resume, Rodriguez is also lending his voice to the upcoming animated family film Henry and Me.

Production on Friends with Benefits is scheduled to begin later this month around the New York area with a 2011 release pending.

Jessica Chastain Joins Emma Stone & Bryce Dallas Howard in THE HELP

Jessica Chastain has signed on to join the cast of the upcoming DreamWorks’ adaptation “The Help.” The film is an adaptation of the best-selling Kathryn Stockett novel and will be directed by Tate Taylor, who also wrote the script for the project.

The film centers on black maids working in white households during the 1960s in Jackson, Mississippi. Chastain will play the role of Celia Foote. Foote is an insecure woman constantly trying to fit into Southern high society but is met with rejection by other women at every turn. Chastain joins a cast that already includes Viola Davis, Emma Stone, Bryce Dallas Howard, and Octavia Spencer. The film begins shooting near the end of July in Greenwood, Mississippi.

Chastain has several projects in the works. She will next appear as Brad Pitt’s wife in “Tree of Life. She also recently finished work on the thriller “The Fields.”

”I used to do six auditions a week. It was brutal, but it was so important. I had mental breakdowns probably every three months. And every time I would have a bawling-on-the-floor fit, my mom would say, ‘Do you want to go home?’ And every time, no matter how upset I was, I was like, ‘No way!’ There was that perseverance in me. It’s not that I was better than the other kids. I was just obsessed.”
