Emma Stone’s latest movie Easy A is gaining momentum and buzz as it nears it’s opening weekend of September 17th. Stone plays Olive, a high school girl who uses the rumor mill to gain popularity but it begins to backfire on her. Check this new featurette out with Stone, Penn Badgley, Stanley Tucci, Amanda Bynes and director Will Gluck as they give you the scoop on their film.

The upcoming Emma Stone vehicle Easy A is all about how one simple thing can change your reputation overnight, so what will the highly anticipated high school comedy do for director Will Gluck? In advance of the film’s Toronto Film Festival premiere, Movieline talked to Gluck about his postmodern approach to comedy, his next movie Friends with Benefits (which is competing against two other projects that want to use that title), and the asthma attack-inducing power of the female orgasm.

You say that it’s a movie with no sex, but it does have Emma Stone faking an orgasm.
Oh no, she wasn’t faking an orgasm! You misconstrued that. She was having a sneeze attack. [Laughs]

She’s only gotten more popular since you made the movie, but did you have any trouble casting her over some familiar face from the CW?
No, because one good thing about Sony is that they knew that this was kind of a special movie — a weird kind of movie, but weird in a good way. They never pushed anyone on us, and you’ve seen how good the cast is that we got for this movie, so they were very supportive about casting all the best people. The way I auditioned the [lead] role is that I had all the actresses come in, but then I had them all go home and do any page from the script into their webcam and sent it to me. Em went home that night and emailed it to me, and I walked over to the head of the studio with my laptop and said, “This is our girl”… If I were to put money on anyone, Emma Stone is going to be a gigantic star. She’s the best actress and the best person I’ve ever worked with.

Life if sweet, if extraordinarily full, for Emma Stone. The actress, 21, best known for films such as 2007’s “Superbad” and last year’s “Zombieland,” is in high demand in Hollywood, having completed work on the coming features “Easy A” and “Marmaduke,” and heading off in a week to an as-yet-untitled comedy with Steve Carell and Ryan Gosling. She’s also been cast in an adaptation of Kathryn Stockett’s bestseller “The Help.”

Speakeasy caught up with the actress during a promotional tour for the drama “Paper Man,” which comes out next Friday. Written and directed by Kieran Mulroney and Michele Mulroney, the indie stars Jeff Daniels as Richard, a middle-aged novelist cursed with both writer’s block and an imaginary friend known as Captain Excellent (Ryan Reynolds). Stone plays Abby, whom Richard hires to be his babysitter following a move to Long Island.

The Wall Street Journal: You moved to New York from L.A. last September. Are you happy with your decision?

Emma Stone: I needed a change of pace, and I don’t know that I’m ever going to go back. I knew I couldn’t move until I had met all the casting directors in L.A.. But even after I moved, I found myself flying back at least once a month, which is kind of weird, because I’m now staying in hotels in a place where I used to live. • Read full story…

“She’s so great! We’re very different, but she has such a sick sense of humor,” Stone told MTV News. “Nobody knows that. She’s so great. People know … how hilarious she is.
